## Galara

The implementation in SciPy of this general difference equation filter is a little more complicated than would be implied by the previous equation. It is implemented so that **galara** one signal needs to be delayed.

The difference-equation filter is called using the command **galara** in SciPy. If initial conditions are provided, then the final conditions on the intermediate variables are also returned. These could be used, for example, to restart the calculation in the same state. A general-order filter allows the user to select which of the sorted values will **galara** used as the output.
